Integration of computational approaches for modeling gene regulatory networks

During the last years, analysis of conserved gene co-expression networks, predictions about disease-gene and non-coding transcript functions have been conducted and merged together. The research activity was focused on human (specifically cancer and neuro-degenerative disorders) as well as on animal biology in order to deepen the knowledge about the fundamental biological processes: from transcription to post-translational regulatory mechanisms. Data from several high-throughput techniques (microarray, RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq and other NGS technologies) are analyzed and combined together to offer a more complete and informational picture of physiological and pathological processes of living systems.
