The research is based on the evaluation of techniques and protocols for the improvement of the outcome following open and laparoscopic surgery in horses and cattle.
Advanced surgical techniques and therapeutic protocols are used in emergency and elective abdominal surgery.
In particular, the effects of perioperative fluid therapy, the effectiveness of new intestinal anastomosis and suture techniques in general to reduce postoperative complications and mortality are studied.
